Heres my Chinese New Year in Pics
But first meet my new dog Teddy(been with us for couple of months now)
This was while im watchng an arsenal game
Now back to the point
Moms side first
Starting with the more mature womenfolk of my moms side.
Cousins, uncles and aunties(while im hoarding the chocs)
We only had dinner two days before New Years so I chose only a few pics to show for moms side.
Fathers Side.
For my Dads side...each year we go back to Tapah(google map if u wanna know where it is)
And its really hectic but yet filled with wonderful memories each year. My grandfater passed away three years ago, so my grandmother lives alone. She has friends there so she refuses to stay in KL.
This is her... I call this pic the matriach within the bushes
cousins..there are two more aside from me and my sis who are the oldest for my fathers immediate relatives.
The Kids table 'yee sang'
Really bad pic of me...but thats my mom
The Youngest (Ching Wei)....abit of pain at times but an absolute joy to be around most times.
He told my sis(after she took this photo) to hold the camera up against her cheek if she ever wanted hm to kiss her.
The Boys(without me)
Mom and Dad(Dads the oldest of his family)
The shoes of everybody...Really speaks of the condition of the house for the three days when everyone returns to Tapah
Popoh and Angpow
My Grandfather was also the eldest so all his brothers and sisters would come to our house. Good that the tradition still goes on even with his passing. Some dint come this year though, I heard it was some 'Pantang' thing because a baby was born...and apparenty two joyous events cant mix together....(Yeap I know beats me too)
More 'yee sang'...seriously man...we ate some much of this its quite obvious why it only comes around once a year.
Me and Dad after dinner in Ipoh(yes we drive up to Ipoh from Tapah just for dinner)
Kids having fun burning stuff
The view from the room my family stays in cos theres not enough room in y grandmothes place
Me sleeping in the room..on the floor cos there are only beds fit for three which Mom,Dad and Sis takes up..(im not complaining its actually nice to sleep on the floor..is like camping
And ofcourse the local turkey community representative making his point.
Well thats it...Im fatigued writing this post but its a good way for me to appreciate my family abit more....My CNYs have been filled with memories through out the years and this one was just as fun...though the hectic community life really isnt at all for me(its really hard for me spndig so much time with so many ppl..Its like sensory overload)...I must say
